For the wastewater insert, the image shows the journey wastewater takes through the city (top of page) then agricultural fields (middle), to end up in lake Winnipeg (bottom).
Using reference photos I created simple vector illustrations of recognizable downtown buildings for the skyline.
I created detail insets for the waste treatment plant and to show how runoff and household waste mix in the sewers.
In a separate insert, the topic was Manitoba wetlands. I created this illustrated view of the wildlife that lives in the wetland environment.
I used reference photos and Photoshop to create the animals and placed them throughout the image.
Illustrated infographics that appeared in local newspaper inserts.
